CICB allows only one CICB-Server instance on a Windows system. This message normally means that the application, native Windows service, or configured startup instance is already running.

1. Check the system tray and Task Manager for Server.exe.
2. If CICB-Server is installed as the native CICBServer service, check the service state instead of starting a second desktop instance.
3. Open or use the existing instance. If it is unresponsive, stop it through the configured tray, service, or administrative process and then start one instance.
4. Automatic startup occurs only when the service or approved startup mechanism has been configured; it is not unconditional.

If the message persists when no instance is visible, collect a CICB Diagnostics package and include the process/service state in a support ticket.
