  • The software doesn’t receive proper resolution and refresh rate data for rendering on the second display.
  • Delayed or incomplete EDID data can lead to flickering as the software continually reinitializes its display context.

3. Resolution or Refresh Rate Mismatch

• Symptom: The second screen fails to render software content smoothly.
• Cause:
  • The resolution or refresh rate the software sets is incompatible with the second screen’s configuration, mainly through the KVM.

4. OS or Graphics Driver Configuration

• Symptom: When using a KVM switch, the operating system or graphics driver doesn’t fully detect the second screen’s capabilities.
• Cause:
  • The second screen’s settings are not correctly applied due to signal interference from the KVM.
